Training Director, Amy McGrath for Congress

Amy McGrath for Senate is seeking a Training Director for the 2020 campaign cycle. Based in Lexington, KY
Responsibilities
  • Work with organizing team and senior staff to develop training materials for statewide staff trainings and in-state volunteer trainings 
  • Manage in-state trainings including staff onboardings, and volunteer-focused trainings
  • Coach RFD’s and develop curriculum and materials for their in-person regional trainings 
  • Oversee training sessions hosted by allied organizational groups such as labor unions, constituency communities, and advocacy groups
  • Coordinate the implementation of all in-state trainings, both in person and online 
  • Use surveys to identify areas where curriculum can be adapted further 
  • Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • Experience with campaigns or progressive organizations
  • Two cycles of organizing experience and at least one cycle of staff management
  • Experience developing and running in-person or virtual trainings for staff or volunteers
  • A firm believer in the power of organizing 
  • An excellent communicator (oral and written) 
  • A utility player who is comfortable managing multiple projects with different timelines 
  • Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills
  • Ability to work in high pressure environment,and meet tight timelines
  • Willing to learn campaign technology including Reach, MobilizeAmerica, and more
  • Experience with VAN, Google Drive, Excel, Word, Data Analytics Tools
  • Ability to work long and irregular hours, including nights and weekends as needed
