Maddie Beecher is an Associate on the 270 Strategies engagement team, specializing in supporting online and offline organizing programs that build engaging narratives to move people to action. Since joining 270, Maddie has worked across teams to support clients that advocate for reproductive rights, economic and social justice, the environment, and other progressive causes, and she has been part of launching and assisting campaigns in key electoral races across the country.
She joins the team after working for Hillary for America, where she worked to shape the campaign's onboarding processes, whipped delegates at the Democratic National Convention in Philadelphia, and helped build statewide volunteer networks. She previously worked at the Democratic National Committee, the Office of Rep. Rosa DeLauro, and Rep. Elizabeth Esty's first congressional campaign. Maddie's interest in politics sparked after volunteering for the 2004 John Kerry presidential campaign in New Hampshire.
Maddie graduated from the George Washington University, where she earned a B.A. in International Affairs and Political Science. She lives in the U Street Corridor of Washington, D.C., and is Colada Shop’s number one customer (or so she thinks). A New England native, she is very invested New Haven pizza and the Red Sox.
