Vice President Marguerite Dooley

Marguerite Dooley is a Vice President at 270 Strategies, specializing in grassroots organizing and campaign development. Her work focuses primarily on building community support for climate action, clean energy, and environmental justice initiatives. Since joining 270 in 2019, Marguerite has built a team of organizers to expand the footprint of solar and wind energy in rural and exurban communities throughout the country and supported efforts by corporate, governmental, and advocacy partners to bridge the digital divide in a major metropolitan city.

Marguerite previously held positions with the Illinois Democratic Party and the Climate Action Campaign, and was Campaign Director for Defend Our Future – a youth-centered climate advocacy organization under the Environmental Defense Fund.

Marguerite first got engaged in politics as a fellow, and later Regional Organizing Director, on Peter Shumlin’s gubernatorial race in 2010 while in high school in southern Vermont and later held various campaign roles throughout her native New England and the Midwest. She earned a B.A. in Political Science and Public Health from Wheaton College (MA) and now lives in Washington, D.C.
